Meet Genevieve….

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with a passion for helping people work through periods of transition or change. I am also a trained End of Life Doula and enjoy blending this knowledge to help support and navigate grief with my clients.  I have a background in working in behavior supports for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ID/DD), where I learned to use principles of patience and empathy to support clients through crises. I transitioned to social work to develop on these skills and support a wider range of clients through life’s challenges.

I received my Master’s in Social Work from Keuka College and have experience working in a wide range of populations (children, individuals with ID/DD, individuals in recovery for substance use, grieving individuals). I use a variety of approaches to supporting clients in change, including Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal- Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution- focused therapy, strengths- based therapy, and trauma- informed care. I am an affirming social worker for the LGBTQAI+ community and offer a safe place for all to be themselves. I enjoy blending mindfulness techniques into my work to help clients reduce anxiety and ground themselves.

At the heart of my work as a social worker, I bring compassion and respect for all my clients. I am honored to support clients as a social worker and look forward to serving my community through counseling.
