Meet Becka…
Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom—ViKtor Frankl
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with a deep passion for walking alongside individuals on their path to healing, growth, and recovery. My professional journey began at the Addiction Center of Broome County, where I supported individuals in reclaiming their lives through recovery and wellness. Since then, my work has been rooted in empathy, clinical excellence, and a strong belief in each person’s capacity to heal.
I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Marywood University and have completed extensive training in trauma-informed care, as well as a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities. These include Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). I am also trained in Polyvagal Therapy (PVT)—a neuroscience-based approach that helps individuals better understand and regulate their nervous system’s response to stress and trauma.
One of the powerful modalities I offer is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)—a brief, evidence-based treatment that helps clients resolve distressing memories and emotional pain without needing to relive or recount traumatic experiences in detail. ART uses guided imagery and eye movement techniques to reprocess trauma, offering relief often within just a few sessions. This approach empowers individuals to move forward with a renewed sense of emotional freedom and clarity.
In addition to my clinical work, I serve as an adjunct professor in the Social Work Department at Binghamton University, where I have the privilege of mentoring future clinicians. I also act as a liaison for MSW students in their field placements.
Above all, I consider it a profound honor to support people through their healing journey. I am continually inspired by the strength, resilience, and insight that individuals bring to the therapeutic process. Whether you are navigating trauma, emotional challenges, or life transitions, I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and empowering space where meaningful change can unfold.
Healing is not a destination—it’s a journey. I am here to walk with you, one step at a time.
